STAR-NET WM at BNTU
The working meeting of the Regional Network for Education and Training in Nuclear Technology (STAR-NET) was held on 20-21 April 2017 in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

The meeting was hosted by the Belarusian National Technical University and attended by 23 representatives of university-members from Belarus, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan and an observer from Uzbekistan.

The participants discussed the current activities of the STAR-NET thematic groups and exchange their opinion on modality of collaboration between university-members and actions on development of the STAR-NET educational portal, conducting educational and methodological activities and creating of common projects, schools and workshops.

It was pointed out that the STAR-NET has signed the collaboration agreement with other regional networks ANENT, LANENT, AFRA-NEST and ENEN to sustain a framework of collaboration in the main three areas: human resource development, outreach and educational tools and technologies. Participants were informed that within the Action Plan between STAR-NET and the IAEA the STAR-NET Learning Management System (STAR-NET LMS) has been established and may serve as a basis for collaboration efforts between the STAR-NET university-members.
The participants agreed on joint activities in 2017.
